Man Killed, Car and Semi-Truck Accident on 10 Freeway in San Dimas

 
SAN DIMAS, CA (June 7, 2022) — A man died after a car and a big rig crashed on the 10 Freeway near Via Verde Monday morning.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, the deadly two-vehicle accident happened around 3:00 a.m. Monday. For unknown reasons, a man operating an SUV crashed into a gasoline tanker. As a result, authorities issued a SigaAlert for the No. 2, 3, 4 and 5 lanes, leaving only the carpool and No. 1 lane open for traffic.
 
As a result of the accident, the unidentified SUV driver suffered fatal injuries while reports detailed no information on the current condition of the big rig driver.
 
Fortunately, the gasoline tanker did not spill any of its 80,000 pounds of gasoline.
 
CHP officers have yet to identify the leading cause of the accident. Thus, any witnesses with details should call the department.
