Hang-Gliding Accident at Ed Levin County Park on Memorial Day Leaves 1 Man Dead and Woman Injured

 
MILPITAS, CA (June 1, 2022) – A man was killed in a hang-gliding accident at Ed Levin County Park in Milpitas on Memorial Day.
 
The accident happened around noon on May 30. According to authorities, an aircraft crashed on the hillsides of the park. As a result, the man who was riding on the hang glider died at the scene.
 
The Santa Clara County Sheriff’s Office will identify the victim’s identity once family members are properly notified.
 
Meanwhile, paramedics rushed a woman to a local hospital with critical injuries, according to authorities.
 
The circumstances surrounding the crash, including whether the man and woman were riding together or on separate hang gliders, was not immediately unknown.
