One Airlifted in Traffic Accident at La Mesa Road and Amethyst Road [Victorville, CA]

SUV Slams into Victorville Fire Medic Squad Truck on La Mesa Road

 
VICTORVILLE, CA (June 8, 2022) – One person was airlifted in a traffic accident on La Mesa Road Friday afternoon on June 3.
 
The accident happened around 3:00 p.m. at Amethyst Road near Liberty Elementary School. Police said a 2003 Chevy Trailblazer carrying three people slammed into a Victorville Fire Medic Squad truck.
 
Firefighters extricated one person who was trapped in the SUV. Mercy Air 22 then airlifted that patient to Arrowhead Regional Medical Center with unspecified injuries.
 
Meanwhile, a ground ambulance transported a Victorville City firefighter and two other occupants from the SUV to Desert Valley Hospital.
 
At this time, the cause of the accident is under investigation by the Victorville Police Department. Anyone with information is asked to call 760-241-2911.
