One Dead, Two Injured in Car Crash on De Wolf Avenue [Selma, CA]

One Killed in Car Accident on De Wolf Avenue and Floral Avenue

 
SELMA, CA (June 6, 2022) — One person died and two others sustained injuries in a car crash on De Wolf Avenue on Tuesday, June 7.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, the accident happened shortly after 8 p.m. on De Wolf and Floral Avenues, east of Selma.
 
CHP officials said a man drove west on Floral Avenue. Then he turned his Chevy Suburban directly in front of an oncoming Chevy Silverado.
 
The two vehicles crashed head-on. The impact killed the 71-year-old driver of the Suburban.
 
The Silverado subsequently caught fire. Thankfully, witnesses at the scene helped extricate the two men trapped inside the vehicle. Medics rushed both to a Fresno hospital with severe injuries.
 
Investigators said it’s unclear if alcohol contributed to the crash.
 
There is no other information about the incident.
