Woman Killed in Pedestrian Crash on Santa Margarita Parkway
RANCHO SANTA MARGARITA, CA (October 12, 2021) — A woman died in a pedestrian accident on Santa Margarita Parkway at El Paseo Sunday night.
According to the Orange County Sheriff’s Department, the fatal crash happened around 9:30 p.m. Under unclear circumstances, a driver struck a woman who had just finished her shift at a nearby McDonald’s.
Soon after, authorities and emergency personnel responded but the woman succumbed to her injuries.
As of now, the Sheriff’s Major Accident Reconstruction Team has no explanation for the crash or where the liabilities fall. However, an ongoing investigation continues.
