Deadly Pedestrian Accident on Santa Monica Freeway in Mid-City Area
MID-CITY, CA (April 10, 2021) – One person died in a pedestrian accident on Santa Monica (10) Freeway in the Mid-City area Thursday evening.
The accident happened around 10:15 p.m. on April 8 near the Venice Boulevard exit. According to the California Highway Patrol, the pedestrian was hit by at least one vehicle along the westbound lanes of the freeway.
As a result, the victim suffered fatal injuries and died at the scene.
Officials closed all freeway lanes for more than six hours while they investigated the crash.
The age, gender and name of the victim were not disclosed. An investigation into this accident is active and ongoing.
