SONOMA, CA (June 17, 2021) — Kathleen Indice sustained serious injuries in Tuesday’s bicycle accident on Verano Avenue near Arnold Drive.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, the accident happened around 8:06 a.m. For unknown reasons, 69-year-old Iundice rode directly into the path of an eastbound 2011 Nissan Altima.
 
As a result of the crash, Indice suffered major injuries and received hospital treatment shortly after at Kaiser Hospital in Santa Rosa.
 
Meanwhile, 71-year-old Kenneth Cavalli — the driver of the Nissan — stayed and cooperated with police officers; he sustained no injuries, reports noted.
 
At this time, authorities have not confirmed the precise circumstances that occurred during this crash. However, they do believe that Indice might have been at fault since the area has no bike lane or bike path.
