Bicyclist Dies in Hit-and-Run on Green Avenue in Sanger
SANGER, CA (June 26, 2021) – A 50-year-old man was killed in a hit-and-run on Greenwood Avenue in Sanger Friday evening.
The fatal crash happened around 9:00 p.m. on June 25, just south of North Avenue. According to Fresno police, a vehicle was traveling southbound on Greenwood Avenue when it struck the man who fell off his bicycle. The driver of the vehicle took off without rendering aid.
The victim, whose identity was not immediately available, died at the scene.
Officers described the involved vehicle as a black pickup truck, possibly with lights on the roof. It should have front-end damage following the incident.
An investigation into this fatality is ongoing.
