Motorcycle and SUV Involved in Deadly Traffic Accident on Highway 223 in Arvin
ARVIN, CA (June 27, 2021) – A motorcyclist was killed in a traffic accident on Highway 223 in Arvin Sunday afternoon.
The accident happened around 1:15 p.m. on June 27, near the Tower Line Road. According to the California Highway Patrol, a blue SUV was heading eastbound on the highway when the motorcyclist, who was going southbound on Tower Line Road, failed to stop at the intersection and ended up hitting the SUV.
As a result of the impact, the motorcyclist suffered significant injuries and died at the scene.
Meanwhile, the driver of the SUV sustained minor injuries.
Crews closed Highway 223 for several hours while they cleared the wreckage.
An investigation into this fatal crash is ongoing.
