Two Killed in Accident at Dillon Road and Berdoo Canyon Road [Indio, CA]

Traffic Accident at Dillon and Berdoo Canyon Roads Kills 2 and Seriously Injures 1

 
INDIO, CA (June 20, 2021) – Two people died Sunday morning in a traffic accident at Dillon Road and Berdoo Canyon Road north of Indio.
 
The accident happened around 5:17 a.m. on June 20. The remote area is north of the Golf Club at Terra Lago and east of the Coachella Valley Preserve. CHP officials did not provide details of how the crash occurred but they confirmed at least two fatality as a result of the accident.
 
According to the Riverside County Fire Department, firefighters were able to extricate a trapped person inside the vehicle. That person suffered major injuries and an air ambulance was requested to fly the victim to the hospital.
 
The Riverside County Coroner’s Office will release the identities of the deceased victims once their family members are properly notified.
 
An investigation into this fatal crash is ongoing.
