Vicente Ruiz Involved in Pedestrian Accident on Chester Avenue in Bakersfield
BAKERSFIELD, CA (June 19, 2021) – Police are now looking for Vicente Ruiz following a hit-and-run accident on Chester Avenue on June 1.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the collision happened at 10th Street around 10:00 AM.
Based on a report, Vicente Rodriguez Ruiz struck an adult woman and three-year-old boy. Subsequently, the suspect fled in his vehicle prior to the officer’s arrival. The suspect vehicle was a gray or blue, 2000’s model Honda 4-door.
As a result, the woman and the child suffered moderate injuries.
Currently, Ruiz is wanted for felony hit and run resulting in injuries, unlicensed driver, and failure to yield to a pedestrian in a crosswalk. As of now, the Bakersfield Police Department is asking anyone with information on Ruiz to call the Bakersfield Police Department at (661) 327-7111.
