LIVINGSTON, CA (September 8, 2021) — Lane Johnson struck and injured a teen bicyclist on Vinewood Avenue near Robin Avenue.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, the incident occurred around 7:21 a.m. Under precarious conditions, 45-year-old Johnson struck the teen bicyclist while driving eastbound at speeds of 45 miles per hour. As a result, paramedics responded and brought the 14-year-old to Valley Children’s Hospital for treatment of major injuries. Meanwhile, Johnson stayed at the scene and cooperated with officers.
 
Per reports, the sun had crippled Johnson’s vision at the time, leading him to strike the teen with his Ford F-750 two-axle truck.
