ECHO PARK, CA (November 5, 2021) – A man was killed in a pedestrian accident near Temple Street and Edgeware Road in Echo Park early Thursday morning.
 
The accident happened around 4:07 a.m. on November 4. According to the Los Angeles Police Department, the man was standing on a sidewalk when a westbound Toyota Scion went off the roadway and struck him.
 
The impact threw the pedestrian onto the side of the adjacent 101 Freeway, where he succumbed to his injuries.
 
Paramedics transported the driver to a hospital with unspecified injuries.
 
At this time, the cause of the crash and factors involved remain under investigation.
