One Critically Injured in Car Accident on 210 Freeway near Maclay Street [Sylmar, CA]

Car Accident on 210 Freeway in Sylmar Leaves 1 with Critical Injuries

 
SYLMAR, CA (November 7, 2021) – One person suffered critical injuries in a car accident on 210 Freeway in Sylmar Saturday afternoon.
 
The accident happened around 3:00 p.m. on November 6, just east of Maclay Street and west of Paxton Street. According to the Los Angeles Fire Department and CHP, a vehicle was traveling the freeway when it crashed for unknown reasons.
 
When officers arrived, they located one person trapped inside the vehicle. They also found one patient with critical injuries.
 
Paramedics took the critically injured person to a local trauma center for treatment.
 
Crews closed two lanes for about two hours while they cleared the wreckage. All lanes were reopened just before 5:00 p.m.
 
The identity of the person who was trapped, the number of other people involved and the events that led up to the crash were not available. An investigation is still ongoing.
