Two Killed in Head-On Accident on Bailey Avenue near Monterey Road [San Jose, CA]

Head-On Accident on Bailey Avenue in San Jose Kills Man and Woman

 
SAN JOSE, CA (November 5, 2021) – Two people died in a head-on accident on Bailey Avenue in San Jose Friday morning.
 
The accident happened around 10:13 a.m. on November 5, just east of Monterey Road near 101 Freeway. According to the San Jose Police Department, a 1991 Chevrolet pickup truck was heading west on Bailey Avenue when it entered the eastbound lanes, which are separated by double-yellow lines on the roadway.
 
Soon after, the truck hit an eastbound 2019 BMW.
 
As a result, the female passenger in the Chevrolet died at the scene. The male driver succumbed to his injuries at the hospital.
 
The man driving the BMW was injured and also taken to a local hospital. He is expected to survive.
 
The Santa Clara County Medical Examiner-Coroner’s Office withheld the identities of the deceased victims pending family notification.
