One Killed in Two-Vehicle Accident on Highway 58 at Castle Road [Barstow, CA]

Two-Vehicle Accident on Highway 58 in Barstow Ends in Fatality

 
BARSTOW, CA (May 25, 2022) – At least one person was killed in a two-vehicle accident on Highway 58 in Barstow Sunday afternoon on May 22.
 
The accident happened around 4:46 p.m. at Castle Road. According to the California Highway Patrol, a Chevrolet Silverado pickup truck hauling a camper trailer and a big rig with a white trailer collided for unknown reasons. One the vehicles struck a power pole after the initial crash.
 
Officers responded to the scene and confirmed at least one fatality as as result of the accident.
 
The identity of the victim was not immediately available.
 
CHP officials are still investigating the fatal crash to determine the exact cause and factors involved.
