65-Year-Old Robert Roush Uninjured in Fatal Motorcycle Accident on Highway 49 [Grass Valley, CA]

65-Year-Old Robert Roush Unharmed in Deadly Motorcycle Crash on Highway 49 near Reader Ranch Road

 
GRASS VALLEY, CA (June 13, 2022) — Robert Roush evaded injury in a fatal motorcycle accident on Highway 49 near Reader Ranch Road Thursday night.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, the fatal motorcycle accident happened around 11:00 p.m. For unknown reasons, a 36-year-old Tahoe City resident driving a Harley-Davidson motorcycle southbound on Highway 49 failed to negotiate a right curve. Subsequently, the motorcycle entered the northbound lanes at a high rate of speed and sideswiped a 2013 Honda CRV, despite the Honda driver’s effort of veering to the right to avoid an imminent crash.
 
Shortly after, First Responders arrived at the scene and performed CPR on the motorcyclist. However, medical personnel pronounced him dead as attempts to save him fell short. As for 65-year-old Roush, the driver of the Honda, he sustained no injuries in the crash.
 
At this time, CHP officers have yet to determine if drugs or alcohol played a factor. If anyone has more information, please call the CHP Grass Valley Department.
