Daniel Montano Killed in Traffic Accident on Riverside Avenue [Rialto, CA]

42-Year-Old Man Dies after Running a Red Light and Crashes into Other Vehicle in Rialto

 
RIALTO, CA (June 11, 2022) – Daniel Montano was killed in a traffic accident in Rialto Wednesday afternoon on June 8.
 
According to the Rialto Police Department, Montano was driving a red Toyota Tacoma when he ran a red light at Riverside Avenue and Country Club Drive around 3:11 p.m. His pickup truck then slammed into another vehicle and flipped over.
 
As a result of the crash, Montano suffered fatal injuries and died at the scene. He was a 42-year-old Rialto resident.
 
The woman driving the other vehicle was taken to a hospital with minor injuries.
 
Both drivers were alone in their vehicles.
 
Police later determined that Montano was fleeing from another crash that took place minutes before he drove through the red light. Evidence at the scene suggested he may have been under the influence of alcohol at the time.
 
Further investigation is underway.
