CLOVIS, CA (June 22, 2022) — Officials arrested 44-year-old David Lowndes of Clovis after a DUI pedestrian crash on Herndon Avenue.
 
According to the Clovis Police Department, at around 9 p.m. on Monday, June 20, they received reports of an accident. The caller said someone driving west down Herndon Avenue hit a pedestrian or a bicyclist near the Habit Burger restaurant.
 
Paramedics rushed the man to the hospital in critical condition.
 
Lowndes, who drove the involved vehicle, remained at the scene and cooperated with the police. Officers arrested and booked him into Fresno County Jail on suspicion of DUI.
