Eric Greenley Hurt in Two-Car Accident on Highway 299 [Weaverville, CA]

Two-Car Accident on Highway 299 in Weaverville Injures 1 Driver

 
WEAVERVILLE, CA (June 21, 2022) – Eric Greenley was hurt in a two-car accident on Highway 299 in Weaverville Friday morning on June 17.
 
The accident happened around 9:54 a.m. just west of Weaver Street. According to the California Highway Patrol, Greenley was driving eastbound on the highway when he he stopped at the right shoulder. As he was getting ready to merge back into traffic, he did not see the car, driven by 56-year-old Kenneth Dale of Cottonwood.
 
Greenley crashed into the right front of Dale’s car, causing major damage on his vehicle. Dale’s car received little to no damage and was able to drive away from the scene.
 
Greenley, a 38-year-old resident of Weaverville, sustained minor injuries from the crash. Dale was not hurt.
 
CHP officials did not rule out alcohol or drugs as a factor. Further investigation is underway.
