Pedestrian Killed in Accident on 10 Freeway [San Bernardino, CA]

Fatal Pedestrian Accident on 10 Freeway near 215 Freeway in San Bernardino

 
SAN BERNARDINO, CA (July 25, 2022) – A pedestrian died in an accident on 10 Freeway, Thursday evening.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, the incident happened on July 21, at about 9:16 p.m. For reasons still under investigation, the pedestrian was walking in the traffic lanes.
 
A short time later, a passing vehicle hit the pedestrian just after the 10 Freeway and 215 Freeway interchange.
 
Emergency responders found the victim unresponsive in the fast lane.
 
Paramedics later pronounced the pedestrian dead at the scene. Authorities withheld the identity of the victim, pending notification of next of kin.
 
As per reports, at least two vehicles hit the victim and all the drivers involved remained at the scene.
 
CHP continues to investigate the cause of the fatal accident. Officers ask witnesses to call the CHP Inland Office at (909) 806-2400.
