JURUPA VALLEY, CA (May 24, 2024) – Four people sustained injuries in a multi-vehicle accident on 60 Freeway, Thursday morning.
 
According to the Riverside County Fire Department, the incident happened on May 23, shortly after 8:00 a.m. For reasons still under investigation, four vehicles became involved in a chain-reaction collision near Valley Way.
 
Emergency crews transported four people to a regional trauma center for treatment of moderate injuries. Updates on the victims’ conditions were not released.
 
The pileup reportedly blocked two traffic lanes. California Highway Patrol officers later arrived for clearing operations. As per reports, the lanes were reopened at 11:00 a.m.
 
CHP continues to investigate the cause of the accident. Officers will release additional information once it becomes available.
