21-Year-Old Texas Woman Dies after Struck by Vehicle on 40 Freeway near Ludlow

 
LUDLOW, CA (June 4, 2024) – Nicaria Gordon-Johnson was struck and killed by a vehicle near Ludlow early Saturday morning on June 1.
 
The fatal crash happened around 2:10 a.m. along the westbound side of the remote stretch of freeway. According to the California Highway Patrol, they received a report that a Nissan SUV rental vehicle had become disabled and was stopped on the right shoulder of the freeway.
 
Upon arrival, they found Gordon-Johnson dead on the roadway.
 
Preliminary investigations revealed that Gordon-Johnson had been riding in the disabled SUV. She had exited the vehicle when a Chevrolet Silverado pickup truck hit her. She was pronounced dead at the scene.
 
Gordon-Johnson was 21 years old of Huston, Texas, according to San Bernardino County coroner’s records.
