A Father’s Day Ride from Venice Beach to the USS Iowa

This past Sunday, June 15th, The Law Offices of Daniel Kim proudly joined the Venice Vintage Motorcycle Club (VVMC) for a Father’s Day ride that brought together riders, families, and friends in celebration of father figures everywhere.

The journey from Venice Beach to the historic USS Iowa in San Pedro wasn’t just a ride—it was a moving tribute wrapped in chrome, camaraderie, and coastline views.

From Abbot Kinney to the Coast: A Father’s Day Ride to Remember

At 9:00 a.m., the engines fired up at The Stronghold on Abbot Kinney. Riders gathered, some astride vintage classics, others on sleek modern machines—but all united in purpose. By 10:00 a.m., kickstands were up and the route wound down the Pacific coast, hugging the cliffs of Palos Verdes where ocean views and wildflower-lined roads offered more than just scenery—they offered reflection.

At the lookout point, the group paused. The mist had lifted. The breeze was clean. And in the harbor ahead, the USS Iowa waited like a steel giant resting in the harbor.

On Deck & Under the Sun

Arriving at the battleship, riders were welcomed aboard the upper deck. Surrounded by maritime history and panoramic harbor views, the group shared stories, cold drinks, and a sense of community that extended beyond the pavement.

As Jenna, founder of Stellar Moto Brand, reflected:

“When I started Stellar, it was about more than just clothes—it was about creating space for women to feel bold on two wheels. Today, riding alongside this community, I felt that power multiplied. This is sisterhood in motion.”

The Raffle That Rocked the Ship

The celebration continued with a raffle sponsored by the firm that mixed fun with function. Prizes included a full-face Daytona-style helmet and a pair of MOCYCLE airbag jeans. As two lucky winners approached the deck to snag their prizes, laughter and cheers echoed. But behind it all was something deeper.

Jasmine R., a local rider, summed it up best:

“This ride was for my dad. He taught me how to ride, how to trust the road, and how to never be afraid of it. He passed not long ago, but today, I felt him riding beside me the whole way.”

A Father’s Day We’ll Never Forget
