Tracy Qingwen Ma Hurt in Hit-and-Run Pedestrian Crash on Beach Street at Columbus Avenue
SAN FRANCISCO, CA (June 24, 2021) — Tracy Qingwen Ma suffered injuries in a hit-and-run pedestrian accident on Beach Street at Columbus Avenue Sunday evening.
According to reports, the hit-and-run accident happened around 5:00 p.m. Under unclear circumstances, a white Infiniti SUV driver struck 50-year-old Ma in the Fisherman’s Wharf neighborhood. Subsequently, the driver failed to help and left the scene immediately after.
Shortly after, police responded and brought Ma to a hospital for treatment of major injuries. If anyone would like to help the family at this time, a GoFundMe page has been listed online.
As of now, police have surveillance footage out there of the suspected vehicle with a California license plate 7MJJ084 and need the public’s help to identify the driver.
The likelihood of hitting a pedestrian increases when you fail to focus on the road. To reduce these risks, drive responsibly and safely. Pedestrian accidents often occur due to distracted driving, impaired driving and speeding.
