Woman Hurt in Sonoma County Hit-and-Run Crash on Valley Ford Road
SONOMA COUNTY, CA (June 25, 2021) — A woman suffered injuries in a hit-and-run accident on Valley Ford Road at Tomales Road Tuesday night.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the two-vehicle crash happened around 8:15 p.m. For unknown reasons, a driver in an older blue or green Nissan sedan tried to make a westbound turn onto Tomales Road. However, the Nissan collided with an eastbound 2012 Honda Civic instead.
As a result, a 61-year-old Valley Ford woman in the Honda Civic complained of pain and sought care at Santa Rosa Memorial Hospital.
Meanwhile, the driver of the Nissan left the scene of the accident, leaving authorities in search of the driver’s whereabouts.
At this time, authorities need witnesses’ help in locating the suspect. However, if anyone has more information, please call Officer K. Lemons at the Santa Rosa Area CHP Office at 707-588-1400.
Give yourself ample space and enough time to make your next move. If you’re going to make a turn or a lane change, verify that the road is clear and safe to do so. Doing this increases your chances of a safe trip home.
