Woman Injured in Car Accident at E Street and Buhne Street [Eureka, CA]

Chase Causes 1 Car to Strike Hydrant at E and Buhne Streets in Eureka

 
EUREKA, CA (June 16, 2022) – A woman was injured in a car accident at E Street and Buhne Street in Eureka early Saturday morning on June 14.
 
The accident happened around 2:26 a.m., according to the Eureka Police Department. Officers said the woman was driving a Nissan Xterra and was chasing the occupants of a Dodge Charger due to an altercation.
 
The driver of the Charger made an erratic turn and struck the fire hydrant and fled. The driver of the Xterra also tried to make the turn and ended up rolling the vehicle and getting ejected.
 
Officers arrived and found the woman lying in the street with moderate injuries. The Xterra had landed on its side.
 
Shortly after, officers also located the Charger unoccupied.
 
All involved parties have been identified and an investigation is ongoing.
