One Killed in Two-Vehicle Accident on Highway 18 at Milpas Drive [Apple Valley, CA]

Two-Vehicle Crash on Highway 18 in Apple Valley Kills One and Sends Another to Hospital

 
APPLE VALLEY, CA (May 27, 2024) – One person killed in a two-vehicle accident on Highway 18 in Apple Valley Saturday morning on May 25.
 
The fatal accident happened around 6:57 a.m. at Milpas Drive. According to the Apple Valley Fire Department, a silver Toyota Rav4 SUV was traveling northbound on Milpas Drive when it failed to stop at the stop sign. It then collided with a white Dodge Ram pickup truck that was traveling on eastbound on the highway.
 
The impact caused the Dodge to overturn on its roof. It also sustained front-end damage. The Toyota had major driver side damage.
 
An occupant in the Toyota suffered fatal injuries and died at the scene.
 
Another occupant in the Toyota was airlifted to Antelope Valley Medical Center with unspecified injuries.
 
Meanwhile, the occupants in the Dodge only sustained minor injuries.
 
No identifying information available at this time. The circumstances of the crash remain under investigation.
