Woman Dead in Pedestrian Crash at 11th Street in Tracy
TRACY, CA (May 29, 2024) — A woman died in a pedestrian accident at 11th Street near Cabe Road.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the pedestrian accident happened around 1:00 a.m. Tuesday. Under unclear circumstances, a driver heading down 11th Street struck a female pedestrian walking on the shoulder, west of Cabe Road.
Subsequently, the woman who reportedly walked into the path of the car was thrown onto the south roadway edge. Soon after, paramedics responded but the woman passed away from her severe injuries.
Following the crash, the 70-year-old Newman resident stayed on site and cooperated with the investigation.
