Head-On Crash on Shaw Avenue in Fresno Kills 1 Driver and Injures Another

 
FRESNO, CA (June 27, 2024) – One person died and another one was hospitalized after a head-on accident on Shaw Avenue in Fresno early Wednesday morning on June 26.
 
The fatal accident happened just after 4:00 a.m. near Chateau Fresno Avenue. According to the California Highway Patrol, a man was driving a Hyundai when he went into oncoming traffic and collided head-on with a pickup truck that was heading east on Shaw Avenue.
 
As a result of the crash, the man driving the Hyundai died at the scene. He was not yet identified.
 
The driver of the pickup truck suffered unspecified injuries and was taken to a hospital for treatment.
 
It is still unknown if drugs or alcohol played a role in the crash. Further investigation is underway.
