46-Year-Old Woman Dies after Struck by Pickup Truck in Wilmington
WILMINGTON, CA (June 4, 2024) – Lizbeth Vejar was killed in a pedestrian accident in Wilmington Sunday evening on June 2.
The fatal accident happened around 10:34 p.m. on the Anaheim Street on-ramp to the southbound 110 Freeway. According to the California Highway Patrol, Vejar was walking on the street when a pickup truck struck her. She was wearing a dark clothing at the time of the crash.
The impact caused Vejar fatal injuries and she died at the scene. She was 46 years old, according to the Los Angeles County Department of Medical Examiner’s Office.
It was not immediately clear if the involved driver stopped after the crash.
The circumstances of this fatality remain under investigation.
