Motorcycle Rider Suffers Severe Injuries after Hit by Car on Locust Avenue in Fontana

 
FONTANA, CA (June 12, 2024) – A man was severely injured in a motorcycle accident on Locust Avenue in eastern Fontana late Tuesday evening.
 
The accident happened around 11:42 p.m. on June 11. According to the Fontana Police Department, the man was riding his motorcycle south on Locust Avenue when a car unexpectedly backed out in front of him. The motorcyclist, who was not wearing a helmet, collided with the vehicle.
 
Paramedics arrived and rushed the motorcyclist to a hospital with severe injuries.
 
Initially, the motorcyclist seemed unlikely to survive. However, the hospital informed authorities that the rider’s condition had improved significantly.
 
The investigation required the closure of both northbound and southbound lanes of Locust for about an hour.
