Pedestrian Dies after Struck by Vehicle in Front Sacramento Mall on Arden Way

 
SACRAMENTO (June 11, 2024) – A pedestrian was fatally struck by a vehicle at Arden Way and Heritage Lane in Sacramento late Monday evening on June 10.
 
The fatal crash happened shortly before 11:30 p.m. just in front of Arden Fair Mall. According to the Sacramento Police Department, the pedestrian was walking in the area when an unknown vehicle struck them.
 
The impact caused the pedestrian fatal injuries and they died at the scene.
 
The involved driver stayed on scene and cooperated with police.
 
At this time, the identity of the victim was withheld pending notification of next of kin.
 
No other information available at this time. The circumstances of the crash are still under investigation by the Detectives with Sacramento police’s Major Collision Investigation.
