62-Year-Old Man Dies after Crash on Highway 180 in Fresno
FRESNO, CA (July 14, 2024) – John Jones was killed in a car accident in Fresno Wednesday evening on July 10.
The fatal accident happened around 8:45 p.m. on Highway 180 at the Peach Avenue off-ramp. According to the CHP, a 2007 Chevrolet Silverado was traveling eastbound on the highway when it drifted to the right and crashed into a concrete wall. It also struck a chain-linked fence.
Jones suffered fatal injuries from the crash and died at Community Regional Medical Center. He was a 62-year-old Fresno resident, according to the Fresno County Coroner’s Office.
It was unclear if there are other injuries sustained in the crash.
Officers said alcohol may have been a factor in the crash, which is still under investigation.
