Car Crashes Off Highway 78 in Oceanside Killing the Driver and Injuring the Passenger
OCEANSIDE, CA (July 14, 2024) – One person died and another one was hospitalized after a car accident on Highway 78 in Oceanside Saturday morning on July 13.
The fatal accident happened around 10:00 a.m. near the 3800 block of Plaza Drive. According to the Oceanside Police Department, a vehicle was traveling the highway when it lost control and crashed into a building.
First responders found the driver dead inside the vehicle.
The passenger was taken to a hospital for treatment of unspecified injuries.
A homeless encampment is located near the crash site, but it was unclear if anyone in the encampment was injured.
The cause of the accident and factors involved are still under investigation.
