Early Morning Crash Involving Three Vehicles on Old Highway 80 in Manzanita Leaves One Dead

 
MANZANITA, CA (June 30, 2024) – A woman died in a three-vehicle accident on Old Highway 80 in the Manzanita area of San Diego early Friday morning on June 28.
 
The fatal accident happened around 1:00 a.m. at Tierra Del Sol Road. According to the California Highway Patrol, a blue car collided head-on with a pickup truck and a small SUV.
 
The impact ejected the female driver of the blue car. She suffered fatal injuries and died at the scene.
 
Emergency crews cut open the truck to pull the driver and a passenger out. An air ambulance took both to area hospitals in unknown conditions.
 
Meanwhile, the SUV’s driver was also taken to the hospital with unspecified injuries.
 
At this time, the identity of the deceased was not immediately available. The exact cause of the crash and factors involved remain under investigation.
