Accident Reported on Highway 41 in Riverdale
RIVERDALE, CA (February 22, 2021) – Police said that drowsy driving was the cause of an accident on Highway 41 on February 20.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the collision happened at Mount Whitney Avenue around 3:30 AM.
Based on a report, the driver of a white Ford truck dozed off then veered into oncoming traffic. Subsequently, it slammed head-on with a Buick.
As a result, the driver of the Buick suffered major injuries. Crews airlifted the patient to a nearby hospital for treatment. In addition, the driver who fell asleep behind the wheel didn’t suffer any injuries.
Drugs or alcohol are not believed to be factors in this crash.
This accident on Highway 41 is still under investigation. At this time, no other details are available.
