Kristi Ewings Dies in Pedestrian Accident on Water Street in Santa Cruz
SANTA CRUZ, CA (February 12, 2021) – Kristi Ewings died after she was struck by a semi-truck on Water Street on February 10.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the collision happened at River Street around 3:30 PM.
Based on a report, Kristi Ewings, a Santa Cruz County resident, was walking a dog at the time of the crash. At the same time, a semi was making a right-hand turn onto River. Due to unknown reasons, Ewing stepped out into a marked crosswalk and was hit by the truck.
