Man Dead, Driver Arrested in Car Accident on Roxford Street near Foothill Boulevard
SYLMAR, CA (February 22, 2021) — A 24-year-old male passenger died in a car accident on Roxford Street on Sunday, February 21.
At around 12:10 a.m., a 21-year-old male driver moved eastbound on Roxford Street, approaching Foothill Boulevard. Then the driver allowed the vehicle to leave the roadway.
Officer Rosario Cervantes of the Los Angeles Police Department said that both the driver and passenger sustained critical injuries. Medics rushed them to area hospitals, where the passenger died.
Officials arrested the driver who now has pending potential charges.
There were no reports yet if intoxication contributed as a factor in the incident.
