Ambulance Involved in Accident on Newport Boulevard in Costa Mesa
COSTA MESA, CA (February 18, 2021) – Three people were hurt in an ambulance accident on Newport Boulevard on February 16.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the collision happened at Fair Drive around 12:40 PM.
Based on a report, the private ambulance was on its way to the hospital at the time of the crash. Due to unknown reasons, a car struck it. The Costa Mesa Police Department said the ambulance was from Lynch and was transporting a critical patient to an area hospital.
As a result, two patients inside the Lynch ambulance suffered mild to moderate injuries. In addition, the driver of the other vehicle was also hurt in the incident. Crews transported all victims to a nearby hospital for treatment. Also, medics immediately sent the critical patient to a local hospital.
