Multi-Vehicle Accident on 126 in Santa Paula Kills Two and Critically Injures 1
SANTA PAULA, CA (February 22, 2021) – Two people died in a multi-vehicle accident on Highway 126 in Santa Paula Sunday afternoon.
According to the Ventura County Fire Department, the accident happened just after 2:30 p.m., February 21, at Spalding Drive. Three vehicles were involved, officials said.
Initial reports said a westbound vehicle crossed into eastbound lanes, causing a head-on collision.
Responding firefighters pronounced two people dead at the scene. One patient sustained critical injuries, and two had minor injuries.
CHP officials closed the highway in both directions for an unknown duration as they worked on the scene.
The exact cause of the crash and factors involved remain under investigation.
