Carina Fuentes Chavez Involved in Fatal Pedestrian Accident on South El Camino Real
MILLBRAE, CA (March 3, 2021) – Officials arrested Carina Chavez after a fatal pedestrian accident in the 100 block of South El Camino Real on March 1.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the collision happened at approximately 9:45 PM.
Based on a report, Chavez was driving a Honda at the time of the crash. At the same time, a pedestrian was crossing El Camino Real. Due to unknown reasons, the suspect’s vehicle struck the victim.
As a result, the pedestrian died in the incident. Emergency crews transported the victim to a local hospital. However, the patient later succumbed to injuries from the collision.
Officials said Carina Fuentes Chavez, 29, showed objective signs of alcohol intoxication. The San Mateo police arrested and booked her into Maguire Correctional Facility. At this point, no other details are available. In addition, San Mateo police ask anybody with information to call them at 1-800-547-2700.
