Fatal Pedestrian Accident Occurs on 10 Freeway in Thousand Palms
THOUSAND PALMS, CA (March 3, 2021) – Police confirmed that a man died in a pedestrian accident on 10 Freeway westbound on the afternoon of March 2.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the fatal collision happened at Bob Hope Drive at 3:10 PM.
Based on a report, the pedestrian reportedly jumped into the path of a garbage truck in the slow lane. At that point, the truck was not able to stop on time. Subsequently, it struck the pedestrian.
As a result, first responders pronounced the man dead at the scene. Officials did not immediately release his identity pending kin notification.
