Teen Driver of Lamborghini SUV May Face Manslaughter Charge in Fatal High-Speed West LA Crash

 
LOS ANGELES, CA (March12, 2021) – Monique Munoz, 32, died a high-speed accident last month on a West Los Angeles street.
 
The accident happened shortly after 5:00 p.m. February 17, on Olympic Boulevard. According to Los Angeles police, Munoz was driving home from work in a Lexus sedan when a black Lamborghini Urus SUV traveling at a high rate of speed rear-ended her.
 
The Lexus was split in half from the impact and Munoz died at the scene.
 
Paramedics took the 17-year-old SUV driver to a hospital for treatment of his injuries. Authorities said he is the son of a wealthy Southern California businessman and e-commerce developer James Khuri.
 
On February 23, police arrested the teen driver and booked him on suspicion of vehicular manslaughter. They said the he had a valid driver’s license and there was no evidence of drug, alcohol or street racing.
