One Dead in Hacienda Heights Car Accident on 60 Freeway
HACIENDA HEIGHTS, CA (March 5, 2021) — One person was killed in a car accident on the 60 Freeway near Hacienda Boulevard Thursday morning.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the fatal crash occurred around 5:30 a.m. Under unclear circumstances, a vehicle crashed near Hacienda Boulevard and a fire engulfed the vehicle.
Per reports, drivers passing by the scene tried navigating around the blaze.
Soon after, paramedics responded and pronounced one person dead.
At this time, the victim’s name and cause of the crash remain unknown. However, authorities suspect street racing as a possible source of the crash.
