One Dead in Los Angeles Pedestrian Accident on 88th Place
LOS ANGELES, CA (March 1, 2021) — One person was killed in a hit-and-run pedestrian accident on 88th Place at Main Street Wednesday afternoon.
According to the police, the crash happened around noon in the Broadway-Manchester neighborhood. Traveling at a high speed, a westbound truck ran a red light and struck a northbound Toyota Camry.
As a result of the impact, the truck struck a pedestrian in a marked crosswalk, killing the person. At this time, the person’s identity, age and residence have not been released.
Following the crash, three people from the truck fled the area and currently remain outstanding. As for the passengers inside the Toyota Camry, no one reported any injuries.
