Three-Vehicle Accident on Highway 180 in Fresno Leaves 1 Dead
FRESNO, CA (April 11, 2021) – A woman died in a three-vehicle accident on Highway 180 at De Wolf Avenue Saturday afternoon, April 10.
The accident happened just after 5:00 p.m., according to the California Highway Patrol.
CHP officials said a man was driving west on Highway 180 when the right rear tire tread separated from the tire. The man was unable to control the car and went into the opposite lane. That was where he collided head-on with an Infiniti car and a Ford Focus in different lanes.
As a result, the woman driving the Infiniti suffered fatal injuries and died at the scene. Her identity was not immediately available.
Two men were taken to Community Regional Medical Center with unspecified injuries.
CHP did not rule out alcohol and drugs as factors in the crash, which remains under investigation.
