Driver Hurt in McKinleyville Police Chase Crash on Central Avenue
MCKINLEYVILLE, CA (May 26, 2021) — A driver was injured in a police chase accident on Central Avenue near Horrell Avenue.
According to a report, the chase began around 9:50 p.m. For unknown reasons, law enforcement began pursuing a Honda Civic driver fleeing on Central Avenue. However, at some point, the driver reversed into the patrol car and crashed into it.
Following the police pursuit crash, the driver of the Honda was found unresponsive. Soon after, paramedics arrived and said DUI might have contributed to the collision.
