Man Killed, 3 Critically Injured in Accident on Highway 395 at Holly Road [Adelanto, CA]

Accident on Highway 395 in Adelanto Kills 1 and Leaves 3 Others in Critical Condition

 
ADELANTO, CA (May 30, 2021) – A man died and three others suffered critical injuries after an accident on Highway 395 in Adelanto.
 
The accident happened around 2:25 p.m. on Saturday, May 29, at the intersection with Holly Road, near the Adelanto Stadium. San Bernardino County firefighters responded and found a gold-colored 2002 Toyota Camry and a white 2006 GMC Sierra.
 
Firefighters pronounced the male driver of the GMC dead at the scene. They also requested two helicopters for three patients who are in critical condition.
 
According to a witness, two people in the sedan were trapped and required extrication. Firefighters used the jaws of life to remove the doors from the Camry and extricate the occupants.
 
A child in the backseat of the sedan was critically injured and emergency personnel performed CPR prior to being transported to a nearby hospital.
 
At this time, the circumstances of the crash remain under investigation.
