Officer Hurt in Santa Cruz DUI Accident near Laurel Street and Center Street
SANTA CRUZ, CA (May 26, 2021) — An officer sustained injuries in a DUI crash near Laurel Street and Center Street over the weekend.
According to police, an officer on his way to the headquarters learned that a Toyota Tacoma struck a patrol vehicle. Upon arriving, authorities found a patrol vehicle with extensive damage and an officer with injuries.
Soon after, police arrested the Toyota Tacoma driver on suspicion of DUI. Meanwhile, paramedics tended to the injured victim, whose injuries remain unclear.
